1. The project
Prices are plus 6% Kentucky sales tax, shown on invoices, unless you give me an exemption certificate.
- Packages: Starter, 1 page, $400. Standard, up to 5 pages, $900. Plus, up to 10 pages with a gallery, $1,500. Your agreement lists your pages.
- Add-ons: extra pages, $90 each. The AI website assistant, $150 setup + $29 a month, with its own rider (at the end of this page).
- Monthly, optional: Care, $49, or Care Plus, $79, plus $29 if you add the AI assistant.
- Included: tap-to-call, a contact form, and one free Book or Order button to a booking or ordering system you already use.
- Not included: logos, photography, email setup, ads, online stores or booking systems.
Your agreement shows the sum: the price (package and extra pages) + tax = your total, plus your monthly amount if you pick a plan. With tax, Starter is $424, Standard $954 and Plus $1,590.
2. Payment
Half the price to start, half before launch, by Square invoice. AI setup and any extra work you OK before launch go on the second invoice.
The deposit is fully refundable until I deliver your first draft, then nonrefundable. The first draft is every page in your package at a private review link (placeholders only where I need your answers), delivered when I text or email you the link. The free sample doesn’t count. I refund in full through Square within 5 business days of your notice, once your payment has cleared (your bank may take 1 to 2 more weeks).
In dollars: Starter $424 with tax, so $212 to start and $212 before launch. Standard $954: $477 and $477. Plus $1,590: $795 and $795.
You pay each Square invoice by card. There is no payment page on this site. I send every invoice myself, from Square, in the name “Krischan Digital & Co”. If one looks off, call me at (606) 224-3709 before you pay.
3. How it goes
Within 30 days of the draft, you send one list (your answers plus changes), and I make every change within your package’s pages and features. Fixing my mistakes never counts. A later list (before the 60-day close) is still included, but the go-live date moves.
New pages, features or a redesign are extra: $50 an hour in 15-minute steps ($12.50 minimum), or $90 a page, quoted first.
Then you OK the finished site, and the second half is due in 14 days. It goes live once paid, at your domain, or at a temporary address if the domain step waits on you for 14 or more days after payment (the job is then complete). I aim to go live about a week after your answers. That’s an aim, not a guarantee.
If I hear nothing for 30 days after your draft or your finished site, I check in twice. At 60 days it closes as if you had ended it (section 9).
4. Your part
Before launch you approve my wording, every claim (health, licenses, certifications, results), any disclaimer your trade needs, and any reviews or testimonials (real customers, word for word, never shown as all your reviews). You’re responsible for what you approve being true.
What you send must be yours to use. What I add (stock photos, fonts) is licensed for you.
You buy and renew your domain in your name (about $10 to $20 a year; renewals may cost more). If it lapses, the site and its email stop. For domain or host changes, you log in and I talk you through it. I never take passwords or transfer codes.
5. Ownership
Once the build price is paid in full, you own your site’s text and design and the images you supplied, and I send its files (a zip any host can run) within 5 business days of a request. You may use, change, host and pass on its code, including to anyone you hire or to a new owner of your business. The AI assistant and my general tools stay mine.
I fix anything I built that doesn’t work as agreed within 30 days of launch, free.
6. Hosting and care (optional, month to month)
Both plans are billed monthly by Square from launch.
- Care, $49 a month: hosting, upkeep, up to 30 minutes of changes a month, usually within 5 business days, and a yearly check-up (links, forms, speed, phones).
- Care Plus, $79 a month: the same, but up to 60 minutes, usually within 2 business days, and a check-up every 3 months.
Minutes count in 15-minute steps (changes sent together count together) and don’t roll over.
Founding clients: your monthly prices (AI included) are locked for 12 months from the first plan invoice. After that, your total monthly price can rise at most $10 a month per year, with 30 days’ notice.
Stop any month by email or text. The plan ends with the billed month (no partial refunds).
Without a plan, or when one ends, you open a free hosting account in your own name (I sit with you; I never need your password), and I move your site in, free, within 5 business days of your account being ready. When a plan ends, I host your site up to 30 more days for the move, then send its files. After that, my changes are extra work (section 3), or you can hire anyone.
I can end a plan too (for example, an invoice 30 days unpaid after a reminder), with 30 days’ notice, and then move the site or send its files.
7. Email and forms
I never touch your email account, only website DNS records. If DNS must move, I first copy every record, including the email ones (MX, SPF, DKIM), and test that email still works.
Form messages go to your email. While I host your site, I delete the host’s copies after 90 days, or sooner if you ask. On your own hosting, they’re yours to manage. Every form gets a privacy note.
8. Portfolio (optional)
The agreement has one box: “I may show your finished site in my portfolio.” Blank means no.
9. Ending it
Either of us can end this by email or text. If you end it before your first draft, or I end it before launch without your breach, I refund your deposit. If you end it after the draft, I keep the deposit, you owe only approved extra work and billed plan months, and the review link comes down with no files handed over, unless you pay the balance within 30 days.
10. Limits and law
No one can promise rankings, calls or sales, and outside services have their own terms. My liability is capped at what you paid me in the 12 months before a claim, where the law allows. Kentucky law applies, in Laurel County courts.
How you agree
I send you the one-page agreement, filled in, by email or text. You sign it, or reply “I agree” with your name and business name in the same thread; that counts as your signature. Only then do I send your first invoice.
The AI website assistant rider
Part of the agreement only if you add the AI website assistant.
- What it is. A chat box on your site that tells visitors it’s an AI, not a person. It’s built to answer only from text you approve, but like any AI it can make mistakes, so it gives general information only and points people to call you, book or use your form. Health, safety, legal and refund questions get fixed wording that sends people to you.
- Your OK first. Before it goes on, you approve in writing its knowledge file (what it knows), its privacy line, any disclaimer your trade needs, and 10 sample answers. Section 4 applies to that text.
- Price. $150 setup, on your second invoice, and $29 a month on your plan invoice, plus tax. That covers up to about 500 chats a month and one round of wording changes; later updates use your plan minutes. If it reaches a limit or the AI service is down, it shows set answers and asks people to call.
- Off switch. Text or email me and I switch it off, free, the same business day. The $29 stops from your next plan invoice.
- When it ends. It runs on my account, so it needs a care plan, ends when your plan ends, and doesn’t move with your site.
- Messages. Each chat is sent to an AI service to write the reply (its own data rules apply); I don’t keep chat text. Callback requests are emailed to you and kept in the host’s form inbox for 90 days, then deleted.
